Tried to setup a wifi dsl modem for friend but fail to get connected
Anyone can tell me the correct setting for the dsl modem?

Protocol: PPPoE

VPI/VCI = 0/38 or 0/35 or 8/35 or 0/32 ? (default is 0/38)

Encapsulation
(1) VC MUX (default)
(2) LLC

Qos Class
(1) UBR (default)
(2) VBR
(3) CBR

PCR/SCR/MBS = 400/400/10 (default)

belwo is a screen shoot of the modem setting.

Why Tmnet's website never tell us how to do this setting?

maybe they were busy counting sheeps or wheelchair or sumthing...hehehe

anyway for PPOE u normally just set the streamyx acct info and the rest is
auto or as per default setting

for VPI/VCI i think it's wud be 0/35...the rest need to check my modem

Thanks for the info. This 3com router come with default setting of
VPI/VCI=0/38 and encapsulation = VC MUX
So, it is impossible to get it connected by just fill in the password and
username (with the default setting).

That night is my 1st time playing with thing, and I spent 2 hours experiment
with all type of possiblility but doesn't know the most important part ---
the VPI/VCI number.

The next night, I just set the correct VPI/VCI and the encapsulation = LLC,
and in just 2 minute it got connected.
Thanks again for the (top secret) VPI/VCI number.

Rats! Now that you have exposed the secret VPI/VCI number, it's not
secret anymore. Hey gang, let's all change back to 0/38 !

Hi all, I am using Streamyx basic 512K. I sometime find that
connection speed is too slow.
Anyone knows how to update Riger DB102 Modem Firmware?
Maybe it should fix the problem.
